Grasshopper receives Gold Level Award from NAEDA
MOUNDRIDGE, Kan. - Earning exceptional ratings from retailers across the country, The Grasshopper Company received the Gold Level Manufacturer Award in May from the North American Equipment Dealers Association (NAEDA). Grasshopper achieved the rating due to strong support and relationship building with its dealer network, according to Richard Lawhun, President and CEO of NAEDA. Equipment dealers across North America were asked to rate their suppliers according to a number of factors such as product quality and sales, service and warranty support. The results showed Grasshopper ranks extremely high in these areas and was the only Kansas outdoor power equipment manufacturer to receive Gold Level status. As dealers strive for market share and the pressures of competing with big box and mega-stores, were glad they view Grasshopper as a complete business partner, not only providing high-quality products but also inventory and marketing solutions to help them better serve their customers, says Grasshopper president Stanley Guyer. Sixty-two manufacturers were included in the 2013 Dealer-Manufacturer Relations Survey conducted by NAEDA. Grasshopper exceeded the national average among all manufacturers in all 12 categories ranked by over 1,000 participating dealers. Grasshoppers highest ranking among all categories was in the Product Quality category, for which the company takes exceptional pride. Two core values of our company are about investing in what it takes to produce product quality, and in the people who assure it is achieved day-in and day-out, says Guyer. By keeping the customers best interests in mind, our company is better positioned to develop strong relationships with the dealers who support our product with their expertise in sales and service support. Guyer adds that it takes generations to build the kind of consistency and trust the Grasshopper brand carries in the equipment industry, and the brand's reputation is one of the main reasons dealers that carry Grasshopper equipment emphasize Grasshopper products their stores. "At the same time, we are mindful this level of trust can fade quickly if a company changes focus, but the Gold Level Award reassures us that our priorities are in balance.
