Record snowfall at White House no match for Grasshopper

WASHINGTON, D.C. – With more than 30 inches of snow on the ground in mid-February in Washington, D.C., and another round of snow predicted to reach the nation's capital, crews at the White House were busy this winter clearing walks and drives for the president and visitors. Even the record amounts of snow haven't slowed down the White House's Grasshopper equipped with a rotary broom and cab enclosure. A White House grounds crew member was captured in a photograph by the Associated Press and posted in an article about President Obama rushing back to Washington early to beat the another round of snowfall.
